Faith Community Nursing is a nursing ministry for congregations and their families. The purpose of Faith Community Nursing is to reflect God's love by promoting Christian health within and outside the local congregation by reclaiming the church's role in the health ministry.
The Faith Community Nurse and volunteers assist and enable members to live enriched lives by focusing on Spiritual, as well as physical and mental health. Various health programs are offered throughout the year. The role of the Faith Community Nurse is to function as a health educator and resource person. This is not a "hands-on" nursing ministry, but a health ministry of body, mind, and soul. Health involves the whole person.
The Faith Community Nurse provides blood pressure screenings on the first Sunday of every month beginning at 9:15 am, and other times as needed, in the Health Room, located downstairs in the church.
